Are you ready to participate in the next trade show
event that your company has joined? If you are the one assigned to man your
booth, are you prepared to entertain guests, take in questions, and discuss
what your products and services are?
Don’t fret as this article will serve as your guide
on how you can properly man your trade show booth.
1. Be
physically, emotionally, and mentally prepared days before the trade show
event. This means that you have to start internalizing your role as the officer
in charge of your booth. The earlier you accept this fact, the easier for you
to act out the role with confidence.
2. Master
your products and services. If there is
anything that you don’t quite understand about your offerings, ask from a
manager beforehand or read helpful materials from your company. When you know
everything about what you offer, there is nothing that should worry you on the
day of the event.
3. Wear
something professional but comfortable on the day of the event. You wouldn’t
want to be sweating or freezing while talking to potential customers, would
you? Present yourself well and do not forget to smile and be friendly.
4. When
someone comes up to your trade show
displays and inquire about your brand or company, entertain questions
cheerfully. However, do not do all the talking. You have to engage your
visitors, as well, so they will feel warm and welcomed.
5. Ask
for contact information from your booth visitors. You can either ask a business
card or loet them sign up a registration form. This will let you keep their
information for future reference.
6. Don’t
forget to hand them trade show giveaways that your company has prepared. This
will help them easily remember you and recall your company’s brand.
Manning a trade show booth should not be scary or
overwhelming. As long as you keep these guidelines in mind, you are ready to
go.
